Cape Sheridan

Cape Sheridan is the northeastern point of Ellesmere Island, Canada, located at 82°27'N 61°27W, on Lincoln Sea in the Arctic Ocean, at a distance of 820 km to the North Pole. Alert is located 20 km west of it. Cape Sheridan was the wintering site of Robert Peary's final quest to reach the north pole in 1908/1909, and the location of Cape Sheridan Depot.
