Cape Split is a dramatic 7 km (4 mi) long headland extending Nova Scotia's North Mountain range into the Bay of Fundy. Both sides of the headland end in high cliffs overlooking treacherous tidal currents.

Cape Split helps form the western boundary of the Minas Basin. Privately owned until the property was recently transferred to the Government of Nova Scotia, Cape Split is currently being transformed into a provincial park.

A popular hiking trail has existed for decades on Cape Split, taking approximately 2-2.5 hours each way to the tip of the headland. The actual point of Cape Split is meadowed, allowing scenic vistas.
