Carab Saalax is a Somali clanpart of the bin neebir group of the mehri ismail clan. . It is a neutral clan in the Somali Civil War. The clan is originally from a part of Yemen called Ticis, where the current governor is a Carab Saalax Somali. The Carab Saalax mainly reside in Puntland.
