Caribbean South America is a region of South America consisting of the nations that border the Caribbean Sea, namely:

• Colombia
• Venezuela

But culturally, the Guianas are most similar to the Caribbean of any other countries in South America:

• Guyana
• Suriname
• French Guiana

Due to the region's closeness to the equator, its climate is very tropical.
