Carlos Roberto Reina Idiáquez (March 13, 1926–August 19, 2003) was the President of Honduras from January 27, 1994 to January 27, 1998.
Reina was born in Tegucigalpa in the Francisco Morazán department of Honduras. A leader of the Liberal Party, he was elected president in free and fair elections on November 28, 1993. He fought corruption and violations of human rights, helping to make Honduras one of the most stable countries in the region. As constitutionally mandated, he retired after one term. After leaving office, he served as president of the Central American Parliament from 1998 until 1999. He committed suicide in Tegucigalpa because of his debilitating illnesses.
