Carol Castagnero

Carol Castagnero is a retired teacher and is currently a candidate for the Democratic nomination for the governorship of the U.S. state of Florida. Castagnero's campaign claims to be collecting the voices of education groups and parents, who accuse FCAT (Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test) of encouraging the teaching of students of how to pass a test, rather than of teaching students material in the core subjects of English, mathematics, social studies, and science.
Background
Carol Castagnero was raised in a coal mining town in Western Pennsylvania. Carol worked her way through college while holding down two jobs, completing her education by receiving a Bachelor of Science in Education. Carol's teaching experience has covered a forty-year span. She has been married to her husband, Paul L. Castagnero, for forty-three years. They have one daughter and four grandchildren.External links
