Carol Costello

-->Carol Costello (born October 11, 1961) is an anchor and reporter for CNN who currently works as the regular newsreader and substitute anchor for American Morning with Soledad O'Brien and Miles O'Brien. Previously, Costello anchored the CNN early morning program CNN Daybreak. A former resident of Atlanta, Georgia, Costello moved to New York after getting married in 2005.
Costello is a graduate of Minerva High School in Minerva, Ohio and Kent State University. Before joining CNN, Costello was the main anchor for WBNS 10-TV, the CBS affiliate in Columbus, Ohio. Costello also worked as an anchor at CNN Headline News and was also the anchor of Good Morning Washington on WJLA TV, the ABC affiliate in Washington, DC.
Carol was nominated to run with the Olympic torch through the streets of Atlanta prior to the Athens Olympics. The nomination came from one of her fans at the online Yahoo fan club "Fans of Carol Costello."
Costello fell victim to a prank caller while covering the 2003 Northeast Blackout. The caller asked Costello if she would "bang Howard Stern" Costello replied "Oh my goodness. You know, that's not even funny. It's disgusting. And I don't know why people call television stations like that because it just makes you sound stupid."
