Rock Climbing
Cedarlands is famous for its extensive program specially tailored for each visiting Troop. Visitors may climb a mountain, or practice rock climbing on a professional rock wall. Scouts can work on basic merit badge requirements or participate in personally challenging activities of their choice. 5 different weeks of camping, from July until August are offered.Trek Program
A feature of the Cederland Scout Reservation program is the Trek Program. Canoe and Backpacking treks are run out of base camp each week. Treks can be 5 days, 3 days, or 1 day, depending on ability levels of your participants. Troops can climb one of the nearby mountains, or travel to the nearby High Peaks with one of the Cederland Scout Reservation Trained Adirondack Guides.Food
Food at the Cedarlands Scout Resevation is prepared by the scout troops. With meal plan selections, each patrol is given several choices for three meals each day plus a dinner desert. Scouts pick up their meal plan from the Commissary and return to their campsite to cook and prepare the food. Scouts learn skills in Patrol Method Teamwork, Communication and Campsite Setup.
