Encyclopedia : C : CE : CEN : Centennial College (Ontario)

Centennial College of Applied Arts and Technology is the oldest College of Applied Arts and Technology in Ontario, founded in 1966. It is located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada; most of its five campuses are located in the east-end area of Scarborough.

Its oldest campus, in the Warden Woods neighbourhood, closed in autumn of 2004. A new campus, known as the HP Science and Technology Centre, opened in its place in the Morningside Avenue-Ellesmere Road area. Existing campuses are located near Markham Road and Highway 401 (Progress); the Warden Avenue-Eglinton Avenue area (Ashtonbee); and in the Danforth neighbourhood, on Carlaw Avenue (Centre for Creative Communications). The Carlaw Avenue campus, known as the Centre for Creative Communications, is the old home of the Canadian teen drama, Degrassi High.

Classes are also held at various satellite locations in the area, none of which are official Centennial College campuses. The College also has a campus in India and Dubai.

The Centre for Creative Communications is the College's home for its award-winning school of Communications, Media and Design. Nate Horowitz is the Dean of the Centre for Creative Communications and Paul Koidis is a faculty member, and the Manager of Communications, Marketing and Development.
