Chablis AOC

Encyclopedia : C : CH : CHA : Chablis AOC

Chablis is a wine Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée (AOC) in the Chablis region of France, generally classified as part of the Burgundy wine region, even though geographically it is a long way away. The appellation was created in 1938 to increase market demand and prices, and covers the whole of the region.

The wines are all white, from the chardonnay grape.
