Chantilly lace is a handmade bobbin lace from the city of Chantilly, France, dating from the 17th century, though the most famous are silk laces introduced in 18th century. Chantilly lace gained more colors in the 19th century.Common designs include floral and ribbons, usually on a spotted background.
