Charity fraud

Charity fraud is the act of using deception to get money from people who are making donations to charities.
Some suggestions to help prevent charity fraud (and avoid being a supportive victim):
- use a search engine (such as [Google]) and Wikipedia.org to "research" any potential charity.
- avoid giving cheques, credit card information, etc. to any person/group you are suspicious of.
