Charles Tilly

-->Charles Tilly (born 1929) is a well known American sociologist who has written a large number of books on the relationship between politics, economics and society. Tilly attended school at Harvard and Oxford before teaching at New School University, University of Michigan and Columbia University, where he now is the Joseph L. Buttenweiser Professor of Social Science.
