A charterhouse is a name for any Carthusian monastery.
Charterhouse was a Carthusian monastery founded in 1371 by Walter de Manny, near Smithfield in the City of London. The building survives, though with many later alterations.
Charterhouse is also an English public school.
Charterhouse is the visitor centre of the Mendip Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty Service.
