Geography

Chashan (Simplified Chinese: 茶山; Traditional Chinese: 茶山; pinyin:cháshān) is a town in Guangdong Province of southern China. It is located 11.5 km northeast of Dongguan City.

Transport

Though the Kowloon Canton Railway runs though Chashan, it is not a convenient way to travel from Guangzhou (Canton), Shenzhen or Kowloon (HKSAR) to Chashan because it is time consuming. Travel by bus is the best way to reach Chashan, which is well connected to bus routes.

Famouse fruit

Chashan is famouse for its litchi fruit (Simplified Chinese:荔枝) which comes from litchi chinensis, a Chinese tree that bears bright red fruits, each of with a single large seed. Litchi taste best between May and June.
