The word "cheapcycle" means to recycle items by selling them cheap, specifically via an online group using the word "cheapcycle" as part of its name. Each group is a free online service to sell items in the local community without having to ship them.

Cheapcycle groups began to appear on Yahoo! Groups approximately 2004. There are many Cheapcycle groups in communities all over the United States, Canada and worldwide.
