The term checkpoint may refer to:
- A place at which vehicles or pedestrians are stopped in order to enforce laws or security measures. See border checkpoint or sobriety checkpoint.
- A point in a computer or video game at which a player may restart if he is "killed" or loses the game. See saved game.
- Check Point Software Technologies, a software company that is best known for its firewall and VPN products.
- Cellular checkpoints that exist in cells of eukaryotes to prevent cells from progressing to the next phase of the cell cycle when doing so would be harmful.
- The novel Checkpoint by Nicholson Baker.
- The 1987 film "Checkpoint" by Parviz Sayyad
- The online tax research software product offered by The Thomson Corporation.
