Chiayi County (Traditional Chinese: 嘉義縣; Hanyu Pinyin: Jiāyì Xiàn; Wade-Giles: Chia-yi Hsien; POJ: Ka-gī-kōan) is a county in southwestern Taiwan encompassing Chiayi City. Its historical name in Chinese (諸羅山),derives from the Taiwanese aboriginal word Tsirosen.
