Chilpancingo (formally: Chilpancingo de los Bravos) is a city in the state of Guerrero, Mexico, located at . It is the state capital of Guerrero. In 2003 the estimated population of Chilpancingo was 152,600.
The city lies on Federal Highway 95 which connects Acapulco to Mexico City.
Chilpancingo is where the National Congress met in 1813 to discuss Mexico's future as a new nation.
