Choi Ji Woo

Choi Ji Woo is a South Korean actress and model. She is considered as one of the popular actress in Asia and has large fan base in South east Asia and very popular in Japan that they name her as Asian Princess. Born on June 11, 1975, in Gyeonggi Paju, South Korea, she made her debut in the 1995 drama War and Love, and changed her name to Choi Ji Woo. Choi was noted for her role in the drama series First Love.
Choi co-starred with actor Bae Yong Joon in the Korean Drama Series (Winter Sonata) in March 2002, which in turn helped her to gain fame from the high popularity of that drama, especially in Japan. She is also called "ジウ姫" (Princess Ji Woo) by her Japanese fans.
Choi has gained a wide Japanese audience watching her romantic comedy movie, Everybody Has Secrets, in which she has co-starred with Lee Byung Hun. Beautiful Days (2001), Winter Sonata(2002) and Stairway to Heaven (2003/04) was among the popular Korean dramas in Asian countries and thus boosted her popularity.
