Christophe Dugarry

Christophe Dugarry (born March 24, 1972 in Lormont) is a former French football (soccer) forward. With the French national team, Dugarry won World Cup 1998 and Euro 2000.

On the club level, Dugarry played for Girondins Bordeaux (1988-96 and 2000-2003), AC Milan (1996-97), Barcelona (1997-98), Olympique Marseille (1998-2000), and Birmingham City (2003-04), and Qatar Club (2004). For France, Dugarry was capped 55 times, scoring eight goals. Other than the two major tournament wins, he also played for his country in Euro 96 and the 2002 World Cup.

He is largely remembered in England for helping newly promoted Birmingham City avoid relegation.

Dugarry announced his retirement as a player on February 1, 2005.
