Christopher Cuomo (born August 9, 1970, in Queens, New York) is an ABC News correspondent. He is the younger son of former New York Governor Mario Cuomo and younger brother of Andrew Cuomo, former United States Secretary of Housing and Urban Development during Bill Clinton's second term (1997-2001).
Cuomo began his journalism career as a political policy analyst for CNBC, MSNBC, CNN, and later for Fox News Channel.
In 1999, Cuomo joined ABC News as a correspondent. In 2003, he was named co-anchor of Primetime. He is currently news anchor of Good Morning America.
Cuomo is a licensed attorney. A New York native, he received his Juris Doctor degree from Fordham University and his undergraduate degree from Yale University.
Awards
- Won a news Emmy Award for his Good Morning America profile on 12-year-old poet Mattie Stepanek.
- Selected as one of People's 50 Sexiest People in 1997.
