CircleMUD with Goodies Project (CWG)

Encyclopedia : C : CI : CIR : CircleMUD with Goodies Project (CWG)

The [CWG Project] was started in January 2003, based on the CircleMUD 3.1 codebase. CWG is a full featured, frequently updated MUD codebase that features many popular features already coded in, including interoperability bug fixes and user community feedback. The Project also enjoys a strong working partnership with The Builder Academy ([TBA]).

There are currently three separate CWG distributions available:

CWG-Buddha is the basic release. It includes OasisOLC, DG scripts, player races, spoken language support, ASCII player and object rent files, live copyover, 128 bit support, object assembly code, vehicles and portals, color code, additional player creation options and much more. It also features the entire donated TBA world content in place of the stock Circle 3.1 world.

CWG-SunTzu features everything in CWG-Buddha and more. Many of the additional changes in CWG-SunTzu revolve around mob behavior, they now use classes and races just like players and can be made to fight each other, as well as try to upgrade their equipment. In addition, instead of the stock Circle 3.1 world, it includes a fully functional world donated from The Eternal Empire MUD.

CWG-Rasputin was created to take CircleMUD code in a whole new direction. Based off of CWG-SunTzu the core game rules of CircleMUD 3.1 are replaced with those based on the Open Gaming License (OGL) System Reference Document (SRD) rules. It also includes a game world based off of The Eternal Empire MUD, updated to match the System Reference Document rules.
