City of Wyndham

The City of Wyndham is a Local Government Area in Victoria, Australia. It is located in the outer western suburbs of Melbourne in a growth corridor between Melbourne and the large regional city of Geelong.
It has an area of 542 square kilometres.
Rapid population growth
The city is home to numerous new housing estates in suburbs such as Point Cook and Sanctuary Lakes. In 1994, Wyndham had a population of 72,000. In 2001 it had a population of 83,000. In 2002, this had grown to 100,080. The current growth rate is over 8%, making Wyndham one of the fastest growing local government areas in Australia. It is expected that within the next 15 years Wyndham's population will have grown to 250, 000.Suburbs
