Ciudad Guzmán (also known as simply Guzmán) is a city in the Mexican state of Jalisco. It is located at [19°42′N 113°28′W], 124 km south of Guadalajara, at a height of 1,507 metres above sea level. As of the 2000 census, its population was 90,363.

Ciudad Guzmán is the municipal seat of Zapotlán el Grande municipality. Prior to the arrival of the European Spanish Conquistadors, this area was the pre-Columbian kingdom of Zapotlán, which was conquered in 1526. Many colonial treasures and weapons are said to be buried throughout the town's old colonial homes, buildings, and farms.

A large number of Anusim (see: Crypto-Jews or Conversos) are said to live in the city, dating back to the 16th and 17th centuries, although most of the town is fervently Catholic.

The old part of the city also holds a major Cathedral in the downtown area, along with restaurants and shops, where a majority of residents go to spend the weekend.

Roberto Baltazar Lepe was born here. This city is proud to have such a distinguished resident.

José Clemente Orozco, one of Mexico's most famous artists, Consuelo Velazquez and Juan José Arreola where born here.
