Claire Dodd (December 29, 1908 - November 23, 1973) was a successful film actress. The Des Moines, Iowa-born actress moved to New York at the age of 15 and joined the Ziegfeld Follies where she was eventually discovered by Darryl F. Zanuck. She went on to work for Warner Brothers, Parmount and Universal studios. Her films included The Glass Key (1935) and The Black Cat (1941).
