A classical music riot is a riot that occurs upon (usually) the premiere of a controversial piece of classical music.
Examples include:

- 1917 - Erik Satie - Parade

- 1970 - Steve Reich - Four Organs
Classical music riots in fiction
In the Simpsons episode The Otto Show, newsreader Kent Brockman claims that there were riots at the premiere of Mozart's Magic Flute. However, this never happened.See also
