Claude Julien (born April 23, 1960 in Blind River, Ontario, Canada) is a former National Hockey League defenceman and is the current head coach of the New Jersey Devils. Claude was announced as the head coach of the Devils on June 13, 2006. He is the 15th head coach in Devils history.

He was the head coach of the Montreal Canadiens from January 17, 2003-January 14, 2006 when he was fired and replaced by GM Bob Gainey.

Julien has also coached the QMJHL Hull Olympiques and AHL Hamilton Bulldogs and played for the Quebec Nordiques as well as the Ontario Hockey League Oshawa Generals, Windsor Spitfires, the Central Hockey League Salt Lake Golden Eagles, IHL Milwaukee Admirals, AHL Fredericton Express, Baltimore Skipjacks, Halifax Citadels and Moncton Hawks.

In 2000, Claude won a bronze medal as the head coach Canada's national junior ice hockey team. He also served as an assistant coach to Marc Habscheid at the 2006 Men's World Ice Hockey Championships.
