Clifford Dyment

Clifford Henry Dyment (19141971) was a British poet, literary critic and editor, and journalist, best known for his poems on countryside topics.

He was brought up in Caerleon-on-Usk. His father has been killed in World War I. His first published collection was First Day (1935). During the latter part of the 1930s he was a literary figure in London. During World War II he was engaged to make films, working for the British government.
