Cloddertrogs are a fictional species of humanoid, derived from the Edge Chronicles, a series of books created by Paul Stewart and Chris Riddell
Brief Description
Cloddertrogs are large, bulky creatures, with big lumpy noses dominating their faces. Most individuals have large fourheads, small bloodshot eyes and prominent yellow teeth. They habitually stoop into a slightly hunched posture. Most have rough skin, thought to be through lack of washing.Behavioral Characteristics
Cloddertrogs are known for their violent disposition to "outsiders", but are quite loyal to friends and family. As a whole, they are wary of anyone who comes close to their property (it is wise to walk down the very centre of the road when in a street of Clod houses). In a fight, the Clods will use fists, boots and teeth, but weapons of choice are more often than not heavy studded clubs or short knives.Youngsters of the clan are usually left to their own devises, and enjoy playing simple "rough-and-tumble" games like "Bladderball". When relaxing, the males enjoy drinking vast amounts of tripweed beer (fermented from rotting tripweed and Oozefish entrails) in large drinking "pits", believing that normal bars are too posh for them. This usually leads to piles of Clods sleeping in nearby gutters.
Cloddertrogs are happy with simple, heavy-lifting jobs such as loading and unloading at port docks, and are well built for such tasks. Most Clods are also quite superstitious, tending to believe in spirits and ghosts.
