Colin Lewes Hanks (born 24 November 1977) is an American actor.
Born Colin Lewes DillinghamState of California. California Birth Index, 1905-1995. Gives name at birth as "Colin Lewes Dillingham". in Sacramento, California, he is the oldest son of Oscar-winning actor Tom Hanks and his ex-wife, actress Samantha Lewes (real name: Susan Dillingham). He has a sister Elizabeth (born 1982) and two half-brothers, Chester (born 1990) and Truman (born 1995) from his father's second marriage to actress Rita Wilson. Hanks attended Loyola Marymount University and Chapman University.
Hanks' best known film role may be in the successful teen movie Orange County (2002), with Jack Black. Hanks also made an appearance in an episode of a series with a similar name, The OC. He has also appeared in the Science Fiction television series Roswell and the HBO series Band of Brothers as Lt. Henry Jones.
Hanks had a big supporting role in the 2005 remake of King Kong, playing the assistant to Jack Black's character, a determined film director; Hanks and Black previously played siblings in Orange County.
