Comb over

A comb over is a hairstyle worn by bald or balding men where the hair on one side of the head is grown long and then combed over the bald area.
It is widely considered to be a generally unflattering look, and is not considered to be a legitimate hairstyle by most professional hairdressers. In popular culture, the comb-over is often a cliche associated with intelligent men (nerds) or a man experiencing a mid life crisis.
The combover has a [U.S. Patent 4,022,227] by Donald J. Smith and his father, the late Frank J. Smith, of Orlando, Florida, whom were awarded an Ig Nobel Prize in Engineering for their effort.
