Conformation generally means structural arrangement.

In chemistry, the conformation of a molecule is its structure. In polymer chemistry, it's the three-dimensional shape of the macromolecular chain.
In molecular biology and biochemistry, a protein's conformation (tertiary structure) is its overall shape as determined by its folding.
In dog breeding and conformation shows, the conformation is how well the dog conforms in appearance to standards published for a specific breed.
A horse's conformation is the proportions of its body in relation to one another. Different conformations are desirable for different work that the horse must perform.
Conformation may refer to the response to societal pressures to conform. See conformity (psychology) and peer pressure.
