Coordinated Online Register of Electors

In the United Kingdom, the Co-ordinated On-line Record of Electors (CORE) is a central database which Government have proposed as a replacement for existing electoral registers. Further details of the proposals are expected in 2005. The legislative framework for CORE will be part of the Electoral Administration Bill which will be presented to parliament in the 2005/6 session.
