Overview

Corona del Mar High School is located in Newport Beach, California and belongs to the Newport Mesa Unified School District. It is a combination of a middle school (7th & 8th grades) and a high school (9th, 10th, 11th, & 12th grades). The seventh and eighth graders have traditionally been called "Sea Weeds," which is a play on words of the actual mascot, "Sea Kings."

History

The school was established in 1963, and has consistently proven itself as a top-ranking school in both California and the nation. Winning many awards in academics and in sports, CdMHS is considered one of California's top schools. In the summer of 2005 the school embarked on a massive renovation project in the wake of California Measure "A".
