Corymbia calophylla
Encyclopedia : C : CO : COR : Corymbia calophylla
Corymbia calophylla or the Marri (also known as Eucalyptus calophylla) is a bloodwood native to Western Australia. It is a close relative of and similar to Corymbia ficifolia (Red-flowering Gum). It differs mainly in being much larger (to about 50m high in the wild) and having flowers that are usually white to pink instead of red. However, variation and hybridisation make identification difficult.
