Cross Road Blues
Encyclopedia : C : CR : CRO : Cross Road Blues
"Cross Road Blues" is one of Robert Johnson's most famous songs. It is the tale of a blues man, presumably Johnson himself, going to a crossroads to meet the devil and sell his soul in exchange for being able to play the blues and becoming famous.
Cream recreated the song for their 1968 album Wheels of Fire as "Crossroads".
It is also a 2004 recording by Homesick James Williamson.
