Cuesta College

Cuesta College is located in San Luis Obispo, California. It is a member of the California Community Colleges system.
Although the subject of much humor among San Luis Obispo County youth for being a junior or community college. Also, local high school students and students of Cuesta call it "UC Cuesta". Cuesta College is actually a well respected school and yields one of the top four-year-school transfer rates of California's community colleges. Most of these transfer students end up at neighboring Cal Poly (California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo).
Most of the students that go to Cuesta are from the county high schools: San Luis Obispo, Morro Bay, Paso Robles, Atascadero, Arroyo Grande, Nipomo, Templeton, and Coast Union.
