- prepare, preserve, or finish (a substance) by a chemical or physical process (one example is the curing, or seasoning, of a cast iron pan; another is the curing of an adhesive)

- Cures is a commune of the Sarthe département, in France
- The Cure are an English rock band. They also have a 2004 eponymous album, called The Cure.
- The Cure (1917) is a silent short film written by and starring Charlie Chaplin.
- The Cure (1995) is a film starring Brad Renfro and Joseph Mazzello about two boys searching for the cure of AIDS, from which one of them is suffering. One of Michael Eisner's sons, Eric Eisner produced.
- In German culture, the cure is a sabbatical or sojourn at a spa.
