D.B. Seth 'Deven' was Born in 1944 in Bareilly (U.P.) and died in 2000. He completed AMT from Govt. Arts & Crafts College (Lucknow Univ.) in 1964. Then he completed B.F.A. from Delhi College of Art (Delhi Univ.) in 1976.

He was a Painter, Actively exhibiting since 1964. He exhibited umpteen Solo and Group exhibitions in India (Dhoomilmal Art Gallery-New Delhi, Taj Art Gallery-Bombay etc.) and abroad. He was a Life member of AIFACS (N. Delhi) & Bombay Art Society.

He received 'Kala Shri' award from Prime Minister Chandrashekhar in 1991.
