D. B. Johnsen company is a business in Northeast Ohio that specializes in boiler parts and service. They are associated with Cleaver-Brooks.
History
The company began as the Robert E. Sullivan Company, founded by Bob Sullivan in 1958 as a representative for Cleaver-Brooks Packaged Boilers. This gave Cleaver-Brooks the presence they were looking for in the Cleveland area.Originally, Sullivan worked out of his garage. As he began to purchase supplemental boiler lines, he had to hire another salesman, D. B. Johnsen. Within a few years, the Robert E. Sullivan Company was the largest supplier of boilers and boiler room equipment in Northeast Ohio.
In the early 1970s, Sullivan retired and sold the company to his first salesman, D. B. Johnsen, who in turn changed the company name to his own.
Today, D. B. Johnsen services boilers in much of the Cleveland area, as well as for area hospitals, schools, and universities.
