D. E. Stevenson

D. E. Stevenson (1892-1973) - married name Dorothy Emily Peploe - was a Scottish author of light romantic novels.
Many of her novels were set in the Scottish borders, and have minor characters who are the subjects of her other books, making a network of information in her own little universe. Other books are set around the town of Wandlebury.
Stevenson's main characters are predominantly from the upper-middle classes, though the minor characters are from all walks of life.
