D6288 is a Tangara T-Set carriage in the CityRail network. D6288 was one of five "spare" Tangara driving trailers built in 1996 to provide replacements for carriages that are written off after an accident or carriages out of service for an extended period of time. Of the five, D6286 is on set T99 (replacing written off D6274), D6287 is on set T73 (replacing written off D6114), D6289 is on set T24 (replacing D6148) and OD6841 is on set G21. D6288 was never put into service and is now used as a source of spare parts.

D6288 now sits in the open in a cannabalised state, adjacent to the Main Western railway line at Maintrain, Auburn (NSW).
