D65
Encyclopedia : D : D6 : D65 : D65
One of the standard illuminants defined by the International Commission on Illumination (CIE) inside a series of illuminants called D series that try to portrait standard illuminanting conditions at open air in different parts of the world.
D65's [data] correspond roughly to a midday sun in Western / Northern Europe, hence it is considered and called as well a daylight illumination. As any standard illuminant is just a table of colorimetric average data, any light source which correlates to that spectral curve can be labelled as being a D65 light source.
