Doyle Dane Bernbach is an advertising agency that became famous in the 1950s and 1960s for its innovative campaigns for Volkswagen ("Think Small"), Avis ("We Try Harder"), and other companies.
It was also responsible for the one of the most significant campaign commercials, ('Daisy'), in American history; which helped Lyndon B. Johnson win the presidency in 1964.
The agency was founded by Maxwell (Mac) Dane, James "Ned" Doyle, and William Bernbach in 1949. The agency is commonly known as DDB.
