Dagenham East is a London Underground station on the District Line, located in Dagenham. The station is in Zone 5 and located between Dagenham Heathway and Elm Park stations
The station was opened as Dagenham in 1885 by the London Tilbury & Southend Railway. The current station structure was opened in 1932 when the electrified District Line was extended to Upminster.
