Management
The current Chairman is the 4th Viscount Rothermere (indeed, every Viscount Rothermere has been the company's chairman) and the Chief Executive is Charles J F Sinclair.
History
The group can trace its history back to 1896, with the launch of the Daily Mail. DMGT was created in 1922.In November 2005 DMGT announced its intention to sell its Northcliffe regional newspaper division. On February 17 2006 the company announced it was abandoning the sale due to the failure of the bids to 'fully reflect the long term value of the business'.
