Darijo Srna

Darijo Srna [ˈdaːriɔ ˈsrna] (born May 1, 1982) is a Croatian football player who, as of 2004, plays for Shakhtar Donetsk. He plays in the right midfielder position for Croatia, but he plays in the right-back position for Shakhtar Donetsk. He has scored many goals from free kicks, and often makes precise crosses.

Srna started his career in Hajduk Split, where he was considered one of their best players. In 2003 he was sold, along with Stipe Pletikosa, to Shakhtar Donetsk. Srna was part of the Croatian national team in Euro 2004, where he played in two games. He also played for Croatia in qualifying matches for the 2006 Fifa World Cup, scoring one goal in the 2-2 draw against Australia in the last match of the group phase.
