Dark Portal

The Dark Portal is an artifact in the fictional Warcraft universe. It was constructed by the possessed Medivh and the warlocks of the Shadow Council to be used by the Orc race to transport their invading army from their home world of Draenor into the World of Azeroth.
Location
Because it is a bridge between two worlds, the Dark Portal is located in both the Blasted Lands on the continent of Azeroth and on the Hellfire Peninsula on Draenor. It is guarded by demons who wish it to remain intact for their master's use. Although unusable in the first edition of World of Warcraft, the land of Draenor is going to be accessible through the Dark Portal in the new expansion, [[World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade]], some time around fall of 2006. One notable difference with the land of Draenor will be that it will be renamed to Outland, which describes its current state of chaos.History
The Dark Portal was first opened by the Last Guardian, to bring the orcish horde into the world.See also
