Darren Day

Darren Day (born July 17, 1968) in Colchester, Essex, he is a British singer and TV Presenter.

Career

He attended the Sir Charles Lucas Art College in Colchester, England. After a period as a Butlins redcoat, he made his break through as a singer and dancer in London's West End Theatre. He then developed his career as a television presenter, and has presented programmes such as Don't Try This At Home! He appeared in the first series of the reality tv show, I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here!. Since his admitted cocaine adiction, he has revived his career by appearing in many touring stage musicals, including Summer Holiday and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

Private Life

Day's name has become almost synonymous with short-lived tabloid fame. He has also had many celebrity partners, including Anna Friel and Suzanne Shaw, formerly of pop band Hear'Say. His colourful private life has made him a favourite target for the UK tabloids, often branding him as a "love rat". He has also been linked in the tabloids to taking drugs, including 2Mpounds on cocaine. This has overshadowed his not always remarkable performing career.

Many people have noticed that whenever Day gets engaged, he usually pronounces that he has 'changed', with his girlfriends vowing that he would never cheat on them.
